White Beetroot

Beta vulgaris

Large White beets are completely white in colour. They do not have as strong of an earthy taste as red beets, and also do not bleed their colour, making them an attractive addition to meals in which the colour of other ingredients is wanted to be retained. White beets can be picked at varying sizes but maintain their sweet, mild flavor and firm texture even when they grow large. As with our other beets, white beet stems and leaves are also edible as well…so eat your greens!

Store in the fridge. The roots will store longer than leaves, so chop them off if intending to keep the beetroot for a while.
